NOTD

So i learned todaii, that i lost 12 pounds in 3 weeks! I started eating less and actually working in gym. So i celebrated by buying the nail polish I've been wanting for awhile, Essie's Coat Azure Nail Polish from the French Affair Collection!
Coat Azure is a medium blue with some purple undertones and a really nice shimmer. It took a good 3 coats to get nice coverage. And as you will see my nails are really short and i dont have a cuticle polish remover. Also, my nails are in really poor shape, the polish didnt bubble, my nails are actually peeling.

Random drawing on my hand to say I love my readers =]

Black Rose Minerals is so NSFW! haha Just Kiddin'

*Disclaimer, these products were sent for free and consideration by the company and my review will be unbiased*

So, not too long ago, I was contacted my Rosa of Black Rose Minerals and was asked to review some of her products. I asked specifically if I could review the collection i was eyeing, the NSFW collection. This collection is a really bright collection but safe for the eyes and face (or labeled otherwise for lips). This sample set is priced at $3.60 with free shipping (all her samples are free shipping US). She also has lots of other sets for example: 10 sample bags for $6, 15 for $9, 20 for $12, 25 for $15. She also has all her collection as sample sets too. But her normal shadows (which she has over 100 of btw) are $6 for w/o a sifer is 3/4 - 1 teaspoon of product and with a sifter is 1/2 - 3/4 teaspoon of product. Shipping depends on where you live, for me first class is $1.71. Furthermore, she started a Deal of the Week Program. This week its get 3 full size shadows at half the price. I think thats pretty good right? Finally she always has coupon codes flying around. Just gotta look for em =]

*reminder, i dont use primer*

I know for this specific set you can get most of the colors normally. If you can I'll specify otherwise.

Tradfficking- is a color limited to the collection. This is a really bright shimmery orange. This has some sparkle but definitely more shimmer.

Dionysus- is a color limited to the collection. this is a nice grape lollipop color. It has a really nice sparkle and not so much as a shimmer like tradfficking. This one is not lip safe.

Gremlin- is a nice bright spring green. But its not a lime. There are lots of green sparkles in it and i sense a little bit of orange sparkles in it too. This has a nice sheen to it. I feel like this color is a little out spoken compared to the others.

Mother Sunflower- must be the brightest yellow i have ever seen. Seriously not for the faint of heart. This has a really nice glitter-matte feel to it. This color is the loudest of all the colors in the collection.

Ocean Potion- is a really pretty bright blue. Also a glitter-matte feel. This is my favorite color of the collection but yet i do love blues. So i cant help it. This color is also not lip safe.

Doll Face- is a gorgeous barbie pink with tons of pink sparkle and it is a glitter-matte. Now i usually despise pinks. But i cant stop staring at this pink. I love it. It reminds me of a lipstick for my eyes!

Overall i adore the feel of these eyeshadows and wanna get my hands on lots more! I love this collection but i personally feel that Gremlin needs to be amped up a little bit to match the brightness of the other shadows. I like how some are shimmery and some are matte like.
I will definitely buy from Black Rose Minerals in the near future. No doubt about that. Everyone should go check em out and grab some shadows!

Love,
T

Being a Brazen Cosmetics Virgin...

*Disclaimer: These products were sent for free and consideration by the company and my review will be unbiased towards that*
With the grand opening of Brazen Cosmetic's new shop in May 1 May 15, they offered free samples to anyone interested who have never tried Brazen Cosmetics before. I have always been interested in trying them, but whenever I would get to them, my money would be depleted and I would be very angry. So i jumped at the opportunity excited to try some of the amazing company. A week later, a small envelope came holding 2 samples of 2 gorgeous blues: Cirque and Paradox. Now, I love blues. Whoever said people with brown eyes shouldn't wear blue eyeshadow i guess doesn't understand my love of blues. I wish I could tell you the average prices for things, but since they do not have a shop right now, you can't buy from them anyway.

*remember, all my swatches are done WITHOUT the use of primer*
Onto the review!

Paradox- is a really gorgeous blue shadow that looks purple under a yellow bulb (well to my eyes) its got very pretty multi colored sparkles (which no pictures show...) and i love it sooo much!
Cirque- is a really pretty teal but i was a little patchy to apply. It does have some really pretty green sparkles.

Overall I feel i would have to try some more of Brazen to make a concise decision. But as of right now, I really like them. I really hope to buy more in the future. =] I suggest you take a look when their store opens in a few days!

Love,
T

Linnaeus Cosmetics Review!!!

A little while ago, this very adorable company Linnaeus Cosmetics, hit the etsy radar and i saw reviews everywhere! I knew i had to grab some of her samples and try her out! So i bought a sample pack and it came a few days later with a really adorable handwritten letter (explaining why she chose the random sample i asked for =]) and an explanation of the difference in some of the sample bags i recieved ( there isnt much of a difference some are just slightly bigger). The sample bags are GIANT! They are probably the biggest sample bags i have seen in quite awhile. They also have a very very generous amount of product. The price for the 5 samples is $5 with $1.5 to ship. She also has a 10 sample pack for $10 with $1.5 to ship. So for the size of the sample baggies and the price is amazing! Her full size jars are $5 with $2.5 shipping.
i also really like how organized her etsy pages are and her descriptions are really clear.

Now onto the review!!!!
*REMINDER THAT I DO NOT SWATCH WITH PRIMER*

Heres everything i got. See the cute letter! =] As you can see I also got a extra sample.

Go Go Flamingo! - Is a really nice shimmery pink. This was chosen as my random shadow, because i'm not a huge pink person but i actually really like this pink. Its really soft and would look really good as an accent color or as a brow bone color.

Kalahari - was the free sample i received with my order. I wasn't too sure about this color when i looked at the baggie but when i swatched it i fell in love. Its a gorgeous taupey, tan shimmer that catches the sunlight in such a fantastic way. i wish the camera captured it better.
Brigand - is a really pretty green color that is slightly on the softer side but is still really gorgeous. It has some blue undertones to my eye which i really like.
Pollywog - is like a minty like shadow that is really buttery and soft. It has a really nice shimmer to it which will look really pretty paired with Brigand.

Largo - is a super pigmented blue that is almost like a matte. Its alot louder than the other colors i recieved which i really like. This color is definitely one of my favorites.

Astute - is a really really pretty grape color which i am in absolute love with! In some lights it looks like a brown shade and in others it looks like grape skin.

Over all I am really in love with Linnaeus Cosmetics like everyone else seems to be! Her colors are very pretty and her idea with how she incorporates her colors with different animals is divine. I like that she has some softer colors and some louder ones too. I am in love with Astute, Largo, and Brigand. But i love them all. I highly highly suggest you check them out.

Love,

My Pretty Zombie Cosmetics Review!!!

So on Thursday i received my six samples i ordered from mrsevils on etsy and i fell in love. The sample baggies were decently sized with a very generous amount of product in them. I also liked how i received an invoice conversation on etsy extremely quickly. The pricing for the samples is really nice its $3 for 3 samples and shipping in the U.S. is $0.44 and free for the other objects. Her normal jars which come with about 1.5 grams of shadow are $5 with $1.25 shipping. When I received my package I got a cute little letter, a card and my adorable samples and my invoice.
The only thing i wish was that her descriptions of her shadows were more organized and included the ingredients and things.

So here's the review! *reminder that i do not use primers when i do swatches*

Static- is a dark green that has a yellow golden shimmer to it. It goes on like butter and it makes a perfect crease shade.
New Age Dolls- is an amazing charcoal shade. This is definitely a go to shadow for me now.

Rabies- is a sky blueish shade with some green sparkles and a green iridescence. I am absolutely in love with this shadow. I would have to say this is my favorite of the bunch.
Bettie- is a really pretty teal like shadow. It is also really smooth like all her shadows.

Monstrous (spelled wrong in photo -_- sorry) Industry - is a sheerer lilac shade with some pretty sparklies in it. I'm going to wear this with Henrywinkle a lot because they look so nice together.
Henrywinkle- is a darker lilac shade with a little bit of blue in it, it seems to me. I really like the color.

As you can see I love this company and i really want more of her shadows!!! I've been seeing her add some new colors that i want to try out. and i think when i grab some more money I will be making another order. I will definitely grab a full jar of Rabies when i grab the chace =]. I highly suggest you check out this company and give em a shot and grab some samples.

Love,
T

Prom Eyes!

So Friday I was forced to go to my friend's prom and I didn't like it at all. I've never been a fan of crowds and hip hop music. I didn't really know too many people there it was kind of a bore for me. But I wore a pretty dress and did my make up. So here is the eyes I did. I used:

My Pretty Zombie Cosmetics (review up next!)- Rabies and Monstrous Industry
High Voltage Cosmetics- Just a Girl and Wild Child
Venomous Cosmetics- Starry Eyed and Superstar (both pressed) (from her new All Stars Collection also a review coming soon!)
Dark Heart Designs- Paparazzi

Rabies was on the lid. Monstrous Industry and Just a Girl was on the Crease. Superstar was in the inner eye. Starry Eyed was the under eye. And Wild Child was the outer corner. Paparazzi was the brow line.

My dress was mostly all those colors but it had some grey to it. I wish the look was a little less messy and that my eyes weren't purple underneath. I was also upset that my primer decided to crease in the outer corner right after i put the shadow on...silly Too Faced Shadow Insurance...but i think i had the most colorful makeup at the prom thing. lol

Love,
T
