OOTD - first ever btw + LOTD

So after losing about 21 lbs, I decide to try on some of my old shorts again. I ran into a pair of my old favorites. My Harajuku Lovers shorts. Size L. I thought "these won't fit me again ever. but I'll try em on." And sure enough, to my total surprise....THEY FIT. My favorite shorts from my freshman year of high school fit! I jumped around and did a jig (do people still do those?) So I decided to wear these shorts paired with my favorite mint green tank top (Ed Hardy) and my awesome Converse. Also some faux glasses to boot. My mom said i looked like a modern 80's nerd. I was pretty happy with it. I also had on for makeup: Aromaleigh Gingko, UDPP in Sin, some weird Japanese Mascara, no foundation or blush (since it was pouring that day).

Now for pics!

21 lbs down!!!

SOOOOO SHINY!!!

Dark Heart Designs Revisited!

Dark Heart Designs has been one of my favorite companies since I started using Mineral Makeup and when I heard she was revamping her line, I was extremely excited. She told me she was trying to make her e/s more dynamic and she redid all of her colors and added a new base to them. So, I thought I would revisit DHD and compare her old shadows and her new shadows. Unfortunately, I ran out of my favorite color, Moonchild, in the old style so I can't compare that one, but I swatched the new one to show you.

Heres the comparison.
*no primer*

The New one has some sparklies in it that the Old one doesn't. The New one is also slightly darker than the Old one. I love them both equally =].

The New one has more purple undertones to it which will actually bring out anyone with brown eyes. The New one seems more matte than the Old one. I definitely like the New one better.

The New one is definitely darker than the old one. The New one has a lot more pigmentation and a little bit of gold on it. The Old one seems very flat compared to the New one. The New one wins for me.

The New Absinthe is very similar to the old one. The base makes it stay on the hand a little better but color wise, I didn't see too much of a difference. But i loved Absinthe to begin with. So I'm happy =].

Now, I know I don't have the Old one to compare it to, but the New one has gold sparklies in it which definitely adds some dynamics to it. I love the Old and the New Moonchild, but I ran out of the Old one.

As you can obviously see, the New one is way more pigmented than the Old one. The New one also has some gorgeous sparklies in it which the Old one lacks. Now, this color is my favorite blue with my very brown eyes. I haven't tried the New one yet. But i can't wait.

Now this one is the biggest difference with what I've seen. The New one is waaayyy more white/silver than the Old one was. The Old one was a blue silver which I adored to death. But the New one is more a silver. You can really see the color difference in the pictures below. I personally miss the blue from the Old one. So Old wins this color.

Now that you've seen her new colors. I am loving most of the new ones! She also has new Lip Slicks coming out (these things are my favorite things on the planet)! Also, I heard she is branching into gel eyeliner, nail polish, and lip sticks. =] What a woman!

Rock A Betty Beauty Review!!!

Earlier this week i received my order from Rock A Betty Beauty. I ordered the Blogger Special which was 5 e/s samples and one Pinup Powder. Now, you don't get to chose your e/s or your powder but i really love the colors i got! In my package, which was wrapped in a popcorn bag (HOW ADORABLE!), i received their new Suck it up! Oil Absorbing Powder (which I am wearing now and will talk about in the end).  they sell their shadows in  3g jars. Their 3g jars sell for $3.99 and shipping is $2.99. They also sell primer, scents, lippies, and also have tons of pretty collections coming out monthly. Everything was nicely labeled and the baggies were nicely sized with a decent amount of sample e/s. I feel that you should receive more of the Pinup Powder in the sample since it is a face product.

Onto the Review!!
*no primer is used*

Potty Mouth - is a glitter-matte! Its a black matte with silver glitter. At first i was like, o joy...another black matte for my collection...but then i saw the silver glitter and was very happy with is color!
Snuff - is a really pretty sky blue color with some silver accents to it. It has a very pretty silver shimmer to it.

Six Feet Under - is a really nice dark brown color with some silver sparkles which came as a surprise to me. You don't see too many neutral shadows with sparkles in them. I liked that a lot. Some glam in the neutral.

Floozy - is a bright purple grape color with some really pretty multi colored shimmer to it. Its my favorite Grape lollipop color!
Shrapnel - is a rusty red velvet cupcake color with some gold accents to it. It had a gold shine to it which i liked.

I received the Pinup Glow. This is a very pale beige powder with a multi colored shimmer and some gold accents to it. I think this goes really nicely with my complexion. I think i will wear it for my Graduation Party to add some shine.

Suck it Up! - okay, I've been wearing this for....4 hours now. And i can finally feel oil breaking through. Here is what is working against it.
1. I am sick.
2. I have extremely oily skin
3. i ate spicy food for dinner
Now i put some of this on my forehead and my nose and chin. My nose wore away after and hour because i wear glasses and oil appears there within minutes. My forehead, oil appeared within 3.5 hours and my chin is yet to feel oily. I give this an A+ in my book! Also I am not wearing anything else on my skin.

Overall I really like Rock A Betty Beauty. Her colors are pretty and have some surprises to them. I also like the names she uses the the ideas for her collections are cute. Give em a look!

Love,
T

Last few weeks!

I feel terrible for the lack of posting..ugh. But I'm doing well. I basically fractured my ankle and have been performing on stage all week. Also, its finals week for me. But i thought u'd like to see some progress of what I've been doing.  On Friday I performed in a concert and I decided to do a really simple but pretty makeup look for it.
I used:
Dark Heart Designs Moonchild
MAC Carbon
UDPP in Sin
D.J.V Fiberwig Mascara
Sephora Mineral Foundation
Clinique Blended Face Powder in Transparency Neuteral
MAC Sheertone Shimmer Blush in Sunbasque
Hard Candy Fox in a Box Blush in Skinny Dipping (Peach Side)
Evil Shades Matte Silk

Now i didnt use and lip products. Why? because i had a whistling solo. and Its sometimes hard to whistle wit lip products on.

And here is what it came down to. This is my Senior Solo. I had 5 solos that night. This was my main one. If i can find the other ones I'll post em too. =]

Love,
T
