Black Rose Minerals Luna Collex!

How do I do this whole bloggie thing, again? Rant about stuff? Cause some dramatic scene, call some ppl out and make up lies? OOOOHHH, okay. Wait, that is what blogs are? Well then I have a totally different definition. I think I write some stuff show some pictures and that's that, right? Yay!! Well, today I have some amazing colors from the amazingly talented Black Rose Minerals. I bought this collection awhile back and then kinda just stopped blogging. Oops, my bad. But these colors, are to die for (not literally, please no one turn into zombies). I would consider these shades more on the put-these-over-things-to-make-them-look-epic since these are sheer (without primer of course) but offer gorgeous shifts! These shades are the Luna Collex, made for the equally lovely Luna.

Price - Sample Jars - $2.50 ea. or $10 for all 4
Full Size - $6 ea or $20 for all 4
          Shipping - $1.75 domestic

Shadow - about 1g? (maybe more)

Extras - 1+ samples

These were all swatched without primer and in some pretty bad light XD. The sun hates me.
I am diggin' the labels. They look awesome!

This is a gorgeous semi-sheer white with blue shift and sparkles!

Blood Moon is even sheer-er and has a purple shift with some pink sparkles in there. I absolutely adore this one.

Luna has a really awesome silver-blue shift that is really dramatic (there's the drama for this post)

This is I think the coolest color. It starts out as a darker greenish sheer color and shifts to gold and has purple sparkles! SO MUCH AWESOME!

Thriteen is a awesome purple verging blurple with a blue shift and red and silver sparklies.

SO MANY PRETTY THINGS! I drank a lot of coffee. Also I am listening to my fav song right now. PORK AND BEANS! Posting video....

Yus. Now excuse me while I blast this some throughout my house and sing and act like a total looser.

Oh *cough* I didn't see you there...

Hello everyone! Long time no post. I understand it has been quite awhile. I apologize for my absence! I just finished my freshman year of college and I am readjusting to being back home. In the news lately, I am now a model for Tick:Tock Cosmetics!!! Also, I am looking for a job to support my horrible makeup obsession (I am right now obsessed with blushes and lipsticks). I will start to post on here again soon. I am just waiting for the sun to make an appearance so I can go take pictures! I literally have a whole box of things to swatch and I really want to swatch them! Stupid sun! Furthermore,  my laptop (again) is in the shop which makes me really upset. I hope that will come back to me soon  =] (it has my Mass Effect 2 disc in it =/ and I would love to finish the game). I promise I haven't left you and I will be back when the sun comes up =]

T

Battle of the Primers/Bases Episode 4! de Leon!

*Looks shadily from side to side and yawns* OH HEY THERE! I feel horrible about my long absence but not horrible about this primer! I received this from the lovely de Leon herself. She own an Australian Indie Company which carries the cutest lippies and one amazing primer. Now even though I just gave away this post but oh well! Same as always I will be using Geek Chic Cosmetics Drood.

Disclaimer fun:

The Battle of the Primers/Bases are weekly battles where I will show you the wear and tear of a primer/base. Primers that are labeled primers will be left to themselves while bases will have one eye with the base alone and the other with TFSI under the base. I will be taking pictures every 2 hours until the shadow creases to an unwearable state. I will also be sitting in a room where the temperature is approx 65 degrees F.

My eyes are on the slightly oily side, so if a primer/base doesn't work on me, it might work on you. So please do not get discouraged if I use a primer/base that you have been dying to buy and you see that it doesn't work on me. Please?

Initial application.

2 hours later. No creasing or oiliness whatsoever.

4 hours after initial. Still no creasing!

6 hours after application and after an intense hour of sweaty exercise. Still none!!!

8 hours after initial. Just some slight fading but no creasing!

I found that this started creasing after about 14 hours, but only slightly. The primer itself is a milky white color but applies nice and clear. It feel like a lotion when applied but dries nice and solid. This works best on me if I apply it and then wait about a minute for it to dry then apply the shadow. This works amazingly on matte and shimmery shadows. It does not catch glitter well though. I usually use this everyday and it works like a charm. I suggest you buy it! Like seriously. You can buy it here

Battle of the Primers/Bases Episode 3: CoverGirl Intense ShadowBlast

Welcome back to another battle! Today's battle is CoverGirl Intense ShadowBlast. This is known to be a cream shadow with a primer built in. I decided to buy the green one. Like always, I will be using Geek Chic Cosmetics Drood.

Disclaimer fun:

Picture time!

The green has a slight gold shift to it. It is really pretty in the bottle but the color is too warm on my eyes.

The applicator is rather spongey but it is really like it.
You can see that the primer almost dulls the orange a bit and makes it more matte. But I think it is because of the green color.

Initial application.

2 hours later. No creasing yet.

2 more hours later. Still no creasing.

2 more hours later and still no creasing!

I kept wearing this for another 4 hours and there was still no creasing. My only issue with  this primer is the way you have to apply it. You cannot apply a light layer or it will crease within 2-3 hours (I've tried). You have to apply a pretty thick layer and then dab it to make it even and then wait for it to dry. Then you apply the shadow over it and it might apply cake-y. Then you smooth it out by sweeping your brush over it multiple times. Then you are done. It doesn't budge at all. Sadly, this also doesn't hold sparkles very well. But it works amazing for shimmery shadows and it doesn't budge. I will definitely by buying more colors. This gets a great grade in my book and it beats the primer before it! Tune in next week for the next episode!!!
