VIE Halloween Collection Swatches!

I recently bought samples from VIE's Halloween Collection. I am a sucker for duochromes and couldn't pass these up. This also came with their new Crazy Primer (review to come).

Sample Amount - between 1/16th and 1/8th in baggies (transferred to clamshells)

Price - $14 + Shipping (I bought during a discount and free shipping promotion

Shipping Times- Below Average (3-4 weeks)

Extras - Extra Sample (Hippo)

Witchy - is a really shifty purple/green duochrome. The shift is extremely noticeable and is probably the most noticeable shift of the bunch.

Love Zombie - is an acid green with a slight gold shift and some black sparklies. This is my least favorite.

Haunting - is a red/purple shade with copper sparklies.

Midnight Hour - is a matte black with black and rainbow sparklies. I am really glad that Jenni has updated her formula for mattes since my last order. My last order I received a black matte that was so chalky it was unusable. This formula is a lot smoother and more pigmented.

Scaredy Cat - is a red with a gold shift. This reminded me of Persephone's Mars Crystal Power, but after a comparison, they are not alike.

Hippo - is a semi-matte muted purple with subtle purple sparklies. This color is also really pigmented and smooth.

My Favorites: Scaredy Cat, Witchy, and Hippo.

If you haven't already go ahead and purchase from Virus Insanity Eyeshadow. They are having a pretty intense Black Friday/Cyber Monday Sale, so I would wait til then to purchase =]. Here is my original review and swatches

Goldilocks and the Three Bears

I rather enjoy/love/adore Grimm. Its a fantastic show. Its a realistic spin on Grimm's tales and when the gorgeous Cassia from Trinity Designs wanted to do a colab on this show with me, I was thrilled! Also, I do not have my laptop back unfortunately, but my parentals sent me a replacement (My brother's beat up, the control key doesn't work, laptop) to use for the time being. So, when the sun peeks out, I'll so some swatches. Back to the colab =P. Cassia and I decided we were going to each do an episode we felt passionately towards. I rather enjoyed Goldilocks and the Three Bears as a child and I was really excited to do this look. I hope you enjoy it. Also, I attempted to tightline on my water line!

Things I used:
Virus Insanity Eyeshadow Crazy Primer
Fyrinnae's Pixie Epoxy
Shu Uemura's Ultimate Expression Mascara
Essence Brow Designer in Light Brown
Tick:Tock Cosmetics Infinity Eye Shadow Base in Black Hole (as liner)
Glamour Doll Eyes in Skin of a Killer (used to blend, at lower lash line and at brow line)
Persephone Minerals in Elysian (crease) (review coming soon)
Sugar Pill Goldilox (at tear)
Unknown shadow in Dubloon (used on lid and lower lash line)

Onto the Pictures!!!

The only natural light photo that I could achieve.

Please don't mind the eye booger.

Yay tightline!

Well there ya have it folks! Sorry all these photos were taken with flash, lighting here sucks monkey butt. Stay tuned and don't forget that with 8 more followers I'll be hosting a giveaway!! Also, don't forget to follow the lovely Cassia and look out for her lovely looks!

VIE Swatchlove!

On the first of every month VIE has a weird kind of sale where they allow buyers to buy from the custom collections individually and as a whole. I decided to take advantage of that and I ordered one collection and 10 other jars (random ones). Personally, I love VIE. Her shadows are very colorful and have lots of different styles. I feel now though, that she is becoming a bigger store, she should open one! Right now, you can only access her on facebook, which I personally don't mind, but I feel opening a store would be beneficial to her.  Well, lets move onto the pretties!

Free Samples:
Paranoia - is a sweet yellow with a silver iridescence.
Luck of the Irish - is a light orangy gold.
Lumos - is a sheer white with silver sparklies.

Full Jars:
Bipolar - is a light orange with blue sparklies. Definitely need a glitter glue for this one.
Obscene - is a black matte. I feel like the formula needs some work though. It was very hard to apply and it shed everywhere.

Spektra - is a favorite. It is a bright pink with a blue/purple shift.
Swamp Creature - was a color with a lot of promise. In the jar it looked like the most gorgeous like blue. On it looks like a metallic white with a light blue/green shift.

Endless Strength - is a really pretty purple with a teal shift.
Friend Bear - is a metallic pastel orange.
Koi - is a bright orange with metallic shimmer.

Live for Today - is a sheer ocean blue.
Soft Waters - is an almost metallic sky blue.
Fishy - is an extremely metallic teal. Reminds me of the Rainbow Fish thing.

Pokemon Collection:
Gardevoir - is a really pretty mint green with silver and black sparklies.
Espeon - is a light baby pink with purple sparklies.

Mismagius - is a dark purple with orange and rainbow sparklies.
Mew - is a satiny light light pink

As you can see some of these really wowed me and some did not. Now that she is pretty established. I think she should perfect her colors and formula. I really want to order her Crazy Primer and her Halloween Collection. And all the colors on my wishlist. =]

Virus Insanity Eyeshadow Review!

I've been watching this company, Virus Insanity Eyeshadow, on facebook for quite some time. They are a store based on facebook so you would have to ask to get invoiced. I don't mind that too much (since I just learned how to invoice things now). But when they started doing their "Get the Look" sales, I couldn't resist. I was deciding between the brights and the pastels and I went with the pastels. I received 4 full sized jars for the $11 (sale of the week) price with $5 shipping. Not too bad. The jars weren't very filled because of the sifter (maybe about half). I also got a sample which came in a clam shell which had a small amount in it. But since it was free its all good. Since they are based off of facebook, their prices for individual shadows varies. On the site it states that one shadow is $5. I received my stuff really quickly and it was packaged perfectly. Wanna see some swatches?

*no primer was used*

I really like the top of their labels. Nice and clean.

Now, here was my only problem. Read this label. It looks clean. But you get to the May Contain. Then that is all you see. But wait, then there is a WARNING! "The safety of this product has not been determined." Ummm....what? This may or may not be safe? I find this a little concerning. Especially because you don't know. I would hope that the pastels would be safe. I would hope that soon she would work on a better ingredients system or we might have another Glittersniffer problem. I hope not, because I actually really like these. But it does say Approved for Eyes.

The Godfather - is the free sample I got. Its a really awesome matte red with a touch of fushia in it. Its actually really smooth and I had no problem applying this whatsoever. This actually reminds me of the WnW holiday palette red that everyone loved that I never had. I actually had this on yesterday with a white underneath it and it turned into this really awesome bright red with some pink flashes and everyone on my floor loved it.

Fiona - is a really pretty soft sea foam green with some rose gold shimmer to it. Its rather gorgeous and I adore it. If you look carefully you can see the rose gold along the edges.

Snow White - is a squee shadow. Its an amazingly amazing light blue with a purple shimmer. I absolutely adore this color.

Belle - is a shimmery pastel yellow. This is probably my least favorite of the bunch. But I do how pastel yellows brighten up my eyes.

Tinkerbell - is a soft teal, which I adore, with a pink shimmer to it. This is an absolutely gorgeous color. It makes me smile just thinking about it.

Overall I really adore Virus Insanity Eyeshadow. I really wish they would work on their labeling but their products are to die for. I would recommend giving them a look and making a purchase. She is usually always having a good deal and her TAT is amazing. Erin is also amazingly nice. Give em a look. I am definitely going to make another order.

Love,
T
